EmpowerHerAbility
Dear Friends, Supporters, and Members of Our Community,
As we approach the end of the year, I'd like to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we've been on and express my deepest gratitude for your unwavering support and commitment to our mission. WND, which was founded in 2021 and officially registered in 2023, is dedicated to championing the rights and well-being of Women Living with Disability. Our vision goes beyond advocating for the rights of women with disabilities; it is about striving to create a world where every individual, regardless of their abilities, is valued, respected, and empowered.
Our operations started very miniscule in 2021 and it was up to me to come up with the initiatives and implement them as solo projects. In 2023, we achieved official status and our team has expanded to include diverse proffesionals who share the same passion as I hold to have a society where Women with Disability can thrive without stigma and discrimination.
So far we have implemented projects that have impacted 671 Women Living With Disabilities. The numbers might seem small but are steadily growing. We have pooled our resources together and done wonderful things but I believe if we tap into our communities, we shall do more and make impact that is long lasting and felt across generations.
It has been an inspiring journey, but we have had significant challenges, such as financial and human resources constraints. This does not diminish the substantial progress made, but more work must be done. The year ahead will bring new challenges and opportunities to expand our influence. We aim to introduce new projects or initiatives that will provide additional support for people with disabilities.
A Sincere Thank You,
Entering the new year, I want to thank every one of you sincerely. Whether you have offered your time, support, or advocacy to our cause, please understand that your backing has truly had an impact. Together, we are overcoming obstacles and constructing connections based on understanding, empathy, and inclusivity. I eagerly anticipate continuing this journey with you in the upcoming year. Let's uphold the spirit of optimism, perseverance, and solidarity as we collaborate to improve the world for everyone. Wishing you a happy and successful new year. With genuine appreciation.
