The Warembo Na Disability (WND) is a society registered under the Societies Act in Kenya. The WND is a diverse independent and non-governmental society aimed to promote and advocate for the social and economic rights of Women Living With Disability in Kenya. The Society is currently based in Kenya's capital city in Nairobi.
The name Warembo Na Disability is unique and very impactful it was coined from the term beautiful.
To advocate for the rights of girls, women and persons with disabilities in Kenya, promote accessibility and inclusion, empower PWDs economically and socially, and ensure access to justice and equal opportunities through advocacy, partnerships, and community engagement.
To create an inclusive society where girls, women and all persons with disabilities (PWDs) enjoy their rights, opportunities, and full participation without discrimination.

Accessing Essential Healthcare: The medical camp enabled over 200 persons with disabilities to obtain vital healthcare services that they may not have otherwise had access to, including routine check-ups, visits to specialists, diagnostic tests, and medical treatments. This facilitated the early identification and proper handling of healt

This facilitated the early identification and proper handling of health problems, resulting in improved overall health results.
Preventive Care: The camp potentially reduced the need for emergency care and hospitalizations by providing screenings, vaccinations, and health education. This may have helped prevent the onset of diseases and manage existing conditions more effectively.
Targeted Care: The camp also stressed the particular medical requirements of PWDs, including physical therapy, orthopedic treatment, mental health support, and recovery, to guarantee that these frequently neglected areas were given appropriate consideration.
Mental and Emotional Well-being: The camp offered mental health services, counseling, and support groups to individuals with disabilities to help them manage the psychological difficulties of living with a disability, thereby enhancing their general mental and emotional health.

The Fashion and Art Show for Persons with Disabilities was a vibrant and inspirational gathering that highlighted the extraordinary creativity, diverse talents, and unwavering spirit of individuals with disabilities. This remarkable event brilliantly showcased the remarkable artistic abilities and unique viewpoints of PWDs through an exquisite array of fashion, captivating art, and innovative design, effectively challenging traditional perceptions of beauty and advocating for a more inclusive society. Participants, including talented models, visionary designers, and gifted artists, were provided with a powerful platform to confidently express their individuality, thus reshaping the prevailing narrative surrounding disability. Undoubtedly, the show served as a compelling catalyst for spotlighting the remarkable capabilities of PWDs and sparking meaningful conversations aimed at nurturing a truly inclusive and empathetic community.
Breaking Down Barriers: The show broke traditional beauty standards and stereotypes linked to disability by presenting individuals with disabilities as models, designers, and artists. This shift in representation aimed to change societal views by promoting the belief that physical or mental abilities should not limit beauty, talent, and creativity.
